Today, whilst going though the attic trying to find some camping gear, I came across a forgotten box of childhood treasures. Amongst them, I found a fossilized amber rock of sap with a mosquito inside I got when I was 8 years old. It is 38 million years old. I remember just prizing this item and staring at it for hours wondering what kind of DNA the little bugger holds in his system. As we all learned from the classic movie, Jurassic Park, those mosquitos were fossilized in sap and can quite possibly hold the DNA of dinosaurs.
What a true treasure!
And being the artist I am, I can preserve this piece and make art with it! It will be wonderful.
