Ever feel as if the type of jewelry you wear says a lot about you? Well, it should. It is an expression of an art form which has been around for centuries. Throughout history, Body adornment has been a traditional, a ceremonial or ritual expression, or just an every day favorite item.
Connecting the Earth to jewelry forms is the reason why I create my pieces with natural materials. It is my own ritual, my own tradition.. with the relationship between our selves and the Earth, we create a beautiful connection.. so in order to emulate that.. These earrings in particular were created using acorns from Oak trees and the branches of a Schefflera tree... as well as metal wire. Organic lines were made with the wire to represent the landscape in which these beautiful trees may be a part of.

The Meaning of The Schefflera Tree

The "octopus tree", as it is dubbed, and it's flowers hold much of what they call "organised martial energy" - clustered, compact, and methodical.. it has a powerful organisation starting in it's roots and flowering into it's seeds. Through all our roots, our stems, and our seeds, our whole material world is the result of all the others - for we have all descended into one reality, one matter to create a physical universe, in which every particle is what we call Matter.
Hidden at the center of matter, lies the Supreme Divine Reality, working from within and gradually with a clear and precise vision of what is to be done, that something can be expressive enough to show the Spirit within.

And those who can do that are generally those who can put their ideas into order and can also organize their character and can finally control their movements. As one of the most powerful and sacred trees, the Oak represents strength, balance, & purpose. It's essence helps boost manifestations of goals and finding our purpose. This energy is both nurturing and gives birth to our innermost creative potential.
The Oak reminds us that the strength to prevail against all odds, lies in the open mind and a generous Heart, as well as the protection of our spirits. If you carry an acorn with you, or three or four, you will always have protection against illnesses and pains, you will always have good luck, and the Gratitude which resides in your heart to show itself on the surface, will always be there, to guide you through your Soul's journey.
